The carefully cultivated jungle of Estufa Fria will be the perfect place for an exploration of post-naturalism. Local collective ZABRA - led by transdisciplinary artists João Pedro Fonseca and Carincur - have created ‘LIMBIC LANDMARKS’, a composite installation that breaks down boundaries between nature and technology. Inspired by the limbic system, the part of our brain which conditions emotional and behavioural responses, it invites visitors to consider how our relationship with the natural world is conditioned by emotional landmarks as well as physical geography, and by extension, to understand we share these same emotional responses to our environment with all other living things.
The installation is free to visit on all three days of Sónar Lisboa.
