When Yen Sung and Photonz get together, house music is never far away. Yen Sung is a true Portuguese icon, a long-time resident at Lux Frágil who’s blazed a trail for women in electronic music since the 1990s. Photonz is also something of a local lynchpin, co-founder of community radio station Quântica, community-run venue Planeta Manas, and label One Eyed Jacks. Their shared passion for “house and techno that people can dance to” has brought them together in the studio and even led them to launching a label, Alphabet Street, in 2021.
