Laura BCR is a techno lifer. Active since 2006 - she started out promoting nights in the south of France where she grew up - she’s gone from Berlin to Rotterdam, starting a record store (the now-defunct Bass Cadet Records in Berlin, from which she takes her name), and a combined record label, booking agency and promotion agency (On Board Music), along the way. A vinyl junkie, she’s a devotee of atmospheric, rolling techno: from the classic dubbed-out Berlin sound of the late 90s through to more recent cosmic and ambient explorations of the genre by the likes of Polygonia and Luigi Tozzi. She’s recently started producing her own music too, with releases on Live At Robert Johnson, Semantica, and Something Happening, Somewhere. At Sónar Lisboa 2024, she’ll deliver a deep, transportative DJ set: one for ‘heads and dancers alike.
