In 2025, trance is definitely back. Leading the charge is KI/KI, the Dutch artist who’s pushing the genre forward. Her mix of classic trance with acid and techno is fast and dreamy, intense and euphoric, rooted in nostalgia, but looking to the future. With her label slash, she’s making that link between past and present explicit, reissuing classic tracks alongside brand-new work from emerging artists. Having come up through the Amsterdam queer scene, she’s a firm believer in the dancefloor as a place for community and connection, and of course, celebration. Expect a set that embraces all three when she takes to the stage at Sónar Lisboa 2025.
