Curator and researcher Kaitlyn Davies and creative technologist Brian Wong invite you to share your unique sonic cartography with a group, and use it to create a new collective sonic space. Mapping Sonic Scenes counters the pervading narrative of human obsolescence in an AI-driven world, and flips the script, using AI technology to make something that feels uniquely and entirely human.
Opening with a collective listening session, this Masterclass functions as a group workshop, with participants sharing their own music and audio habits and preferences, which are then fed into AI tools, which maps out the group's one-of-a-kind sonic landscape.
This Masterclass is part of Voices of Sónar+D by ME by Meliá, held at Casa do Lago, located inside Parque Eduardo VII. The whole programme is free-of- charge and open to the general public, with entrance on a first-come, first-served basis.
