Between them, DJ Minx and DJ Holographic represent Detroit’s female past, present and future. A staple in Detroit since the 1990s and founder of the Women on Wax collective, DJ Minx’s name belongs in the history books along with The Belleville Three and Underground Resistance for her contributions to electronic music. ‘The First Lady of Wax’ will go back-to-back with DJ Holographic, a rising star who’s been tipped by both Carl Craig and “Mad” Mike Banks as the Motor City’s future. Together they’ll channel the soulful spirit of Motown with plenty of classic house and real Detroit techno at Sónar Lisboa 2024.
