Both solo and as part of the multifaceted Live From Earth collective, Berlin’s DJ Gigola has been reconfiguring dancefloors since 2016. Using rhythm and groove as a guide, her hybrid sets take in everything from Surgeon to Madonna. She seamlessly blends high-intensity 90s cuts - trance, hardcore, techno and acid - with new school rave, club tracks, and dashes of pop music. Her experiments aren’t confined to the club either: inspired by her yoga and meditation practice, she’s released an album of guided meditations featuring ASMR vocals, field recordings and goa-style tabla drums. At Sónar Lisboa 2024, she’ll be firmly focused on the dancefloor: expect a high-impact, genre-fluid workout.
