Chima Isaaro might just be one of Lisbon’s favourite DJs. A seasoned selector, record collector and well-known face around town (you’re just as likely to see her on the dancefloor as behind the decks), she specialises in uplifting, soulful, Black dance music. From techno, house and disco to soul, jazz and locally-sourced batida, her sets are celebrations of groove, identity and community. Often starting out with sensual slow jams, before building up to jacking dancefloor tracks, she knows exactly how to work a room. At Sónar Lisboa 2024, expect her to show why she won’t be a secret for much longer.
