He’s now an expert on the musical diaspora of Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe, dedicated to sharing music and artists from lusophone Africa with the world. Via his label - Celeste Mariposa Discos - he promotes the work of talented lusophone African artists living in Portugal who, for various reasons, face difficulties in breaking into the music industry. Contemporary Portuguese culture is undeniably inseparable from its African heritage, and his sets are a celebration of genres like funaná, kuduro, coladeira, semba, plus countless others.
