30 years on from the release of their undisputed classic album <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE517grd-jE">dubnobasswithmyheadman</a>, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith are still looking to the future. Having brought rave culture into the mainstream in the ‘90s - with <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AM-7Y-EDI1A">a little help</a> from Trainspotting - the UK duo have kept moving forward. Following on from their <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLehAq9SJvDGiy2F-k1KR1v4ct3VfKiJVU">DRIFT audiovisual series</a> - which saw them release a track and video every week over the course of a year -&nbsp; comes their 11th studio album Strawberry Hotel, a record only Underworld could make. Euphoric, creative and slippery, it perfectly captures the vibes of their genre-defying, high-tech live shows.&nbsp;

In an era of huge screens and elaborate visual projections, Detroit techno pioneer Richie Hawtin has decided to look backwards to move forwards. His latest live show DEX EFX X0X goes back to the genre’s roots, a celebration of the dancefloor as a dark, mysterious place where you can lose yourself in the music. Using a combination of specially-configured lighting and immersive sound design, the Canadian innovator has created an experience that’s ‘more club than concert’. One of the highlights of Sónar 2024 in Barcelona, we can’t wait to bring this very special show to Lisbon.
