Sónar Lisboa 2023 announces the final 32 artists for its lineup today, with names like Peggy Gou, Amelie Lens, Anfisa Letyago, Patrick Mason, Reinier Zonneveld and Major League DJz joining those already announced for the 31st March, 1st and 2nd April in the Portuguese capital.

Also released today are the lineups for each session of Sónar by Day and Night, with limited individual tickets on sale at first release price.

This year, all 4 stages of Sónar Lisboa, both by Day and by Night, are concentrated within Parque Eduardo VII in the heart of the city, with Pavilhão Carlos Lopes as the central point where three of the stages are based, with a fourth five minutes away on foot.

The final lineup - now available here divided by Day and by Night - crosses continents and stylistic borders in electronic music

Highlights at Sónar by Day include South Korea’s Peggy Gou, one of the most recognised figures on the global clubbing scene; the direct acid techno of Amelie Lens; Major League DJz, who’ll bring the sound of amapiano, a jazzy variant of house from their native South Africa to Lisboa; and a feel-good DJ set of soul, jazz and electronic from Chet Faker. They join already announced names like Folamour A/V show, Mochakk, and SHERELLE x Kode9.

Sónar by Night is headlined by the deep, groove-driven techno of Anfisa Letyago; Enrico Sangiuliano, who fuses techno with elements of trance; and Patrick Mason, a Berlin artist who’s building bridges between the past and present of dance music. That’s in addition to already announced artists WhoMadeWho Live, VTSS, Skream b2b Mala, Acid Pauli, and Astra Club (DJ Tennis b2b Carlita).

Across Day and Night, live acts once again have an important place in this edition of Sónar Lisboa. Italian duo 999999999 bring all their hardware for a high-intensity performance; in a similar vein to Reinier Zonneveld’s powerful and high energy live act. Colin Benders uses modular synthesizer to explore the furthest realms of electronic music; James Holden, one of the most restless spirits in electronica, brings his first album in 7 years - the suggestively titled ‘Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities’ - to life on stage; and Portuguese group Throes + The Shine bring their singular mix of rock, kuduro, hip hop and electronic music to the stage. All of them join already announced performances by the likes of Max Cooper (live AV), KiNK, DJ Nigga Fox and Cinthie.

Other artists not to be missed include musical explorer Bawrut - who takes Chicago house as a starting point to explore everything from techno to disco and beyond - and DJ MELL G, who traces a path through high-tempo, euphoric dance music. A Lady Shaka set goes from classic 90s house to experimental club music and trap anthems, while Sofia Kourtesis wanders through her European and South American influences, for a DJ set that's equal parts introspection and joyful soundscapes.

Sónar Lisboa also welcomes back-to-backs from Cormac and fka.m4a, lovers of Italo disco and Hi-NRG; Rui Vargas b2b Gusta-vo, two of the most important figures in Portuguese dance music; Serginho b2b Zé Salvador, true legends of Portuguese house music; and the seductive minimalism of Bernardo b2b Johan. They join the already announced Violet b2b Photonz.

Finally, there’s an eclectic selection of local heroes highlighting the rude health of Portuguese electronic music, featuring styles that range from hypnotic techno to Detroit electro, from deep house to funk carioca, through to synthpop, UK breaks, Chicago house and other fringes of contemporary electronics. Across three days of Sónar Lisboa, Amulador, Ana Pacheco, Cruz, Diana Oliveira, Funkamente, John Woods, King Kami, Madd Rod, Mingote, MVRIA, Nuno Di Rosso and, Telma will take to different stages, as well as previously announced names like Yen Sung and Shaka Lion.
