Fusing music from the Portuguese diaspora with contemporary electronic music, DJ Nigga Fox is a leading figure in the Portuguese scene. He’s a leading representative for a wave of artists who’ve taken suburban street music and connected it with sounds from Portugal, Africa and Europe. On his releases for local label Príncipe, exuberant raw rhythms combine with experimental electronic psychedelia: a musical vision that’s put both Príncipe and Lisboa on the musical map. After attracting the attention of both Warp Records and Sónar Barcelona - who he played for in 2021 - he brings his percussive live act to Sónar 2023.
